In July 2014, TLC started a new slogan and promotional operations, “Everyone Needs a Little TLC,” which remained to build upon the network’s present focus on personal stories and family life.
In 2017, home design programming started to return to the network with the beginning of Nate & Jeremiah By Design; the series was reiterated for a second season. In April 2018, TLC premiered a restoration of Trading Spaces; the season premiere and an accompanying reunion individual were seen by 2.8 million watchers, marking the network’s highest-rated Saturday primetime show since 2010.
In March 2018, Discovery Communications obtained Scripps Networks Interactive and was renamed Discovery, Inc. TLC president Nancy Daniels quit the network to become the chief brand officer of Discovery’s factual networks, to reinstate the outgoing Rich Ross. She was replaced by Scripps Networks’ leading programmer Kathleen Finch as a chief brand officer of Discovery’s lifestyle networks, managing TLC and the six networks formerly owned by SNI , among others.
